Access should be understandable
You should be able to tell whether information belongs to your individual estate profile, to shared household context, or to a purpose-limited preparation for someone who may later need to act.
Trust, privacy, and security
RiGEL is designed to help you organize sensitive personal and household information while keeping access understandable and purpose limited.
These principles describe how RiGEL Personal approaches sensitive planning information.
You should be able to tell whether information belongs to your individual estate profile, to shared household context, or to a purpose-limited preparation for someone who may later need to act.
Belonging to the same household does not mean every personal detail is automatically shared. Private estate information stays with the individual unless it is explicitly shared.
Executor Handoff is for preparing clearer context for the person who may eventually need to act. It is not unlimited account access and does not appoint or validate an executor.
This page describes access design and responsible product boundaries that RiGEL can support today. It does not promise absolute privacy, absolute security, or certifications that are not listed here.
RiGEL Personal is built around adult estate profiles that you organize and update.
This overview does not claim that you directly control backups, logs, derived records, legal retention, or third-party processing. See the Privacy overview for formal data-handling language.
RiGEL Personal treats a household as shared context with separate adult estate profiles.
Authorized adults in the same household may organize shared household context such as assets, contacts, and dependents where those items are linked for household planning. The Emergency Snapshot is also a shared household resource for active authorized adults.
Personal estate details such as beneficiaries, executor choices, family letters, secure storage, and personal wishes remain associated with the individual adult. Another authorized adult cannot see those private details by default.
Not every piece of information is automatically shared merely because adults belong to the same household. Shared household resources, including the Emergency Snapshot, stay distinct from private individual estate information.
Belongs to one adult estate profile. Not visible to another adult by default.
Household context that active authorized adults may organize together, including one shared Emergency Snapshot for the household.
Information you prepare for the person who may eventually need to act, not a full account copy.
The Emergency Snapshot is a shared household resource. Active authorized adults in the household can view and update the same Snapshot, while private individual planning information remains separate.
It helps you prepare a focused set of practical information that may be useful first in an urgent moment.
Users should consider carefully what information is appropriate to include.
Executor Handoff helps you prepare purpose-limited information for the person who may eventually need to act, so they are not left starting without context.
The intended outcome is clearer, limited preparation rather than open access to your full RiGEL Personal account.
These points describe access design and published privacy commitments that this website can support. They are not a guarantee that all risk is eliminated.
Each adult in a household has their own estate profile, even when household information is connected.
Private estate information is visible to the profile owner. Another adult sees it only when it has been explicitly shared.
Shared assets and similar household context are available to active household profiles when those items are linked for shared planning. Belonging to a household does not by itself expose private estate fields.
Active authorized adults in a household work from the same Emergency Snapshot. Private individual planning information remains separate from that shared Snapshot.
Executor Handoff is described as purpose-limited preparation for clearer executor context, not as unlimited account access.

This page does not invent self-serve deletion, export, backup, or retention promises for household accounts.
